Reply.com Co-Founder Ben Behrouzi Sold on Social Media Marketing Business

PLEASANTON, Calif., Dec. 5 - iHype.com announced today that it would be developing an enterprise marketing platform and entering the growing online social media marketing space. Reply.com co-founder and former CTO, Ben Behrouzi, who co-founded Reply.com at 20 and transformed online lead generation in real estate, automotive and other services, is now focused on the fast growing social media marketing space.


Behrouzi announced that the new company, known as iHype, is developing an online marketing platform that is designed to give marketers the ability to market their products and services through hundreds of thousands of online bloggers and content publishers.


"The exponentially growing base of bloggers and content publishers has given birth to a new sphere of influence," said Behrouzi, who intends to build a marketplace that allows marketers to leverage for their social marketing strategies.


Exact details around how iHype will work or its differences with other models have not yet been released, though the company intends to have a beta built by the summer of 2008.


"Our platform will allow marketers to produce profound results around traffic, buzz and search engine optimization with the same ease as one uses Google Adwords", said Behrouzi who has raised $1.1 million startup cash for the new company.


The 8 person company plans to triple its staff by the end of 2008. The company has also attracted some key bay area engineering talent, including top developers from Ebay and Yahoo.
